So what if Marinette had told her name in Origins but not Adrien (because is Adrien that comes with the Chat Noir thing, not Marinette she was actually going to say her name) so then when they meet later in school the gum incident still happens but now Adrien knows Marinette is Ladybug and so he is like ‘omg i screwed this up’ and so when he meets Ladybug again, he doesnt tell her he is Adrien because he is 100% sure she is going to hate him and ‘this is not the time cause they are fighting not only an akuma but his also powerful clones’.
And then later he apologizes and the umbrella scene still happens and so he is like ‘ok now i can finally reveal to her’ but next day Marinette avoids him and stutters and boy is disheartened becuase he wants to reveal and talk to her.
And when he talks to Ladybug later, she tells him ‘ i know i said my name but…we still dont know each other’ and Chat agrees because he doesnt want to screw this again and well, Ladybug is right, he doesnt know Marinette so he takes the decision to know her better, as Marinette and Ladybug and for her to know him too, as Adrien and Chat.
